Van de Velde / Marie Jo new user A3

Van de Velde is one of the biggest European producers of lingerie with a turnover of about € 100 million. Four times a year a new collection is introduced for the brands Marie Jo, Prima Donna, Marie Jo L’Aventure and Marie Jo L’Exclusive. Van de Velde has more than one thousand employees in five different countries. Over 4000 specialized shops in Europe sell about 800 styles with a full range of sizes and cups (more than 12.000 options all together).

At Van de Velde the task of A3 is to improve the forecast during the forward order period, improve the re-order planning and improve the forecast of the stayers (basic articles). The forecast quality of A3 was proven during a workshop. It took only two months to get from start implementation to full operation. The planned quantities per option (style, size, cup) are interfaced from A3 to Movex for the purchase and production planning.

Rucanor new user A3

Rucanor has been active in the field of sports basics since 1956. From a modern architecture building next to the A20 to Rotterdam 2000 basic sports articles are supplied to customers worldwide. The product range goes from apparel, footwear, knee and shin protectors to bags and many more articles. Rucanor has its own sales offices in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Rucanor decided to implement A3 to reduce the stock levels, while maintaining the service level, and to reduce the manpower needed for purchasing. The modules Rolling monthly plan and Replenishment support the whole purchase process down to size level. At Rucanor A3 is interfaced with Fashion for Windows from Microsoft Business Solutions partner Pebblestone.

Improve first buy new collections

Given the fact that fashion companies have to offer 6 or more collections instead of the traditional 2 each year causes a lot of stress for the purchase and production departments. They are responsible for a timely delivery and have to make risky decisions on fabrics or finished products before the sales have started. Seeing this as a major challenge for fashion companies in the next decade, A3 has developed a new module that supports this process. This module is currently being implemented at ECCO shoes in Denmark and a project is started at MEXX International.
