McGregor Fashion Group new user A3

McGregor Fashion Group, founded in 1993, is a European fashion house that focuses on the design, purchasing, marketing, distribution and sales of brand name menswear, womenswear and childrenswear at the upper end of the market. McGregor and Gaastra are the most important brands within the group. The group furthermore includes the dress shirt brands Dimaggio, King, Elmior and Royal Cotton.

McGregor's strategy is based on a diversity of distribution channels, which both strengthen each other and contribute to a balanced spread of activities. In addition to the approximately 3,000 multibrand stores located throughout Europe, the brands of the McGregor Fashion Group are also sold via 182 shop-in-shops at department stores and larger retail fashion stores. The brands of the group are also sold via their own retail trade activities, which comprise the McGregor monobrand stores, the Adam Menswear chain and six factory outlets.

The demand forecasting and planning of both the seasonal collections and the never out of stock program, is supported by A3. Implementation of A3 started in June this year and in August A3 was operational for use during the sell-in and purchasing period of the Summer 2007 collection.

Freetex-Stone Fashion new user A3

Freetex-Stone Fashion is an internationally oriented fashion company and is specialized in the design, production and marketing of casual outerwear, both under a private label and under their own Reset brand. Half a century's experience in the clothing industry has earned Freetex-Stone Fashion a leading position in the European market. By offering a good price/quality ratio, paying extraordinary attention to design and styling and keeping the entire chain of production under control, they always manage to meet the customers' demand. A3 and retail planning/open to buy

Many of our wholesale customers have increased their own retail activities over the past few seasons. The turnover share of shops owned by the company and of franchise or shop in shop concepts has increased considerably.
Planning and forecasting for a more controlled sales channel of one's own, requires a different approach compared to a demand pull oriented independent wholesale channel.

Home shopping company Wehkamp has improved the demand forecast with A3. Karin Janssen explains: "Our evaluation shows that this method gives us a good prediction of the demand. This meant pure and direct profit improvement."

A3 in the Journal of Business Forecasting

Recently the Journal of Business Forecasting celebrated its 25th anniversary. Much has changed since the Journal started. Technology has changed and so have the forecasting methodologies. In fact the whole forecasting landscape has changed.
